“In
the creative state, a man is taken out of
himsellf. He lets down, as it were, a bucket
into his subconscious, and draws up something
that is normally beyond his reach. He mixes
this thing with his normal experience, and
out of the mixture he makes his work of
art.”—Novelist

Where does your inspiration comes from?
I guess what inspires me is to create a
design that is my own. Really being able
to say I did that and really putting everything
into it. I am thankful for having partners
that share the same Ideas and goals as I
do and who really influence me to design.
As I create my designs I use the industries
standards, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash,
and incorporate After effects and Ray Dream.
A lot of the best designs come from trying
new things and just keep establishing new
ideas.
How did you get involved in web design? "At the end of my third year of Graphic
Design I wasn't ready for "the real
world" I guess you could say. My design
skills were alright but as the internet
grew around me and I saw the early web work
of Volumeone, and Gabocorp, I really knew
that's what I wanted to do. I saw a huge
opportunity and I enrolled in a two year
Multimedia Design course. That's were I
really put all my time into 3-D and Flash.
I started working with friends at Velocity
Studio a place that really is an incubator
for young designers. A business that focuses
on growth of a designer and not just their
end product.
What is the theme you have chosen to
expose in the creation process of "The
Horus Project?"
Really it's just about freedom. Shane, Marco
and I all use it as a place to show the
designs we do in our spare time. There really
aren't any limitations to the work that
is created because it is all about the designs.
As you can see the images are very intense,
loaded with detail and inspiration. I think
people can see the difference in that.
