Chad Michael Ward is a 29-year-old artist living in the hills of San Francisco Bay Area, where he spends his time working on CD covers, comic books, novel covers, and magazine/web design.

Chad’s artistic endeavors encompass a variety of media including web design, digital art, and dabbling in music and writing. His work is heavily influenced by the written works of Warren Ellis, William Gibson, and John Bergin, as well as the beautiful and haunting art of H.R. Giger, J.K. Potter, Jeff Pittarelli, Ashley Wood, Dave McKean, Eric Dinyer, David Mack, Trevor Brown, Cliff Nielsen, Daniel Ouellette, Ernst Fuchs, Greg Spalenka, Phil Hale, Brom, John Bolton, and Joseph Michael Linsner.

In addition to his detailed artwork on covers for bands such as Darkane, Collide, and tributes to Marilyn Manson and NIN, Chad is also responsible for the creation of websites for popular writer Warren Ellis and artists Darick Robert, John Cassaday, and J.G. Jones.

Outside of the realm of digital art, Chad is an avid comic book enthusiast, a self-proclaimed Web junkie and movie addict - getting his fix on films such as “Fight Club,” “The Matrix,” “Pulp Fiction,” “Doom Generation,” “Se7en,” “The Fifth Element,” “Blade Runner,” “Ghost in the Shell,” and “Akira.”

In his spare time, Chad writes, produces, and maintains OPi8.com, a magazine site devoted to the New Dark Culture. He is also working on his first full-length graphic novel and maintains a personal site, Digital Apocalypse.
