Bio: Bette
O'Callaghan, a dichotomy of designer clothes
accessorised with skulls. She fought her
way down from the lap of luxury, in America,
to the squalor of one room in South London,
always evincing the worst possible judgement
along the way. Indeed, her skills at self-delusion
and general lassitude are world class as
is her cement streak of cynicism. Fifty
eight years of ranting, raving and howling
at the world to go away have led her to
the stage as the perfect outlet in which
to reach out and throttle her audience,
assuaging her need for total domination.
Expect the worst and you will be rewarded
with intriguing stories of a wasted life
and encouraged to live for yourself. Bette
regularly performs in London and the UK,
has performed in 2002 and 2003 at the Edinburgh
Festival, as well as performances in America
and has been published in various fanzines
and in the poetry anthology, Velocity.
